Venue: Morpeth Town Hall, Market Place, Morpeth NE61 1LZ
The workshop has been developed by the CPS nationally with a view to informing advice workers, advocates, and others who work with disabled people, about disability hate crime and the prosecution process. It is ideal for advocates working with disabled people, information and/or advice workers whose client base includes disabled people, care/support workers, housing providers, and anyone else whose work involves supporting disabled people in a paid or voluntary capacity.
Through presentations, question and answer sessions and the use of practical examples the workshop aims to improve awareness and understanding of disability hate crime prosecution policy, roles and responsibilities, relevant definitions, and how the process works in practice
Please note: places are limited, and it may therefore be necessary to limit the number of participants from any one organisation – places will be confirmed on 14th May. Lunch and refreshments will be provided, but unfortunately organisers are not able to reimburse travel expenses.
