What is a Designated Person (DP) for safeguarding?  A DP for safeguarding is a key person in your organisation who deals with concerns about an adult or child.  They have a deeper understanding of local safeguarding guidance, greater confidence in dealing with concerns and have received training to support them in their role.
 
Do we need one?  Every group and organisation should have a designated person for safeguarding.
 
How will the DP network meeting help?  Through the network VoiCeS provides the designated person in organisations with support, updates, information, the opportunity to ask questions and share best practice.
