Trustees play a vital role, volunteering their time and working together to make important decisions about the charity’s work, and this past year is likely to have been your most challenging yet, steering their organisations through such wild and unpredictable seas for such a sustained period.
The COVID-19 crisis has meant that traditional methods of generating income have all but dried up. Half of the organisations surveyed in April by Northumberland VCS Assembly had less than 6 months of reserves and more than 80% had to cease activities completely during lockdown. Many are only now starting to reopen.
Trustees’ Week is an annual event to showcase the great work that trustees do and highlight opportunities for people from all walks of life to get involved and make a difference.
We’d like to know about how trustees in Northumberland feel about their role during these difficult times, and we’ve put together this simple Trustees’ Week survey to gather your thoughts.
We’d appreciate you answering the questions as honestly as you can, and we'll report on our findings during Trustees' Week.
