Northumberland Domestic Abuse Service (NDAS) is looking to recruit a Domestic Abuse Prevention Practitioner

NDAS recognises that children and young people with experience of domestic violence and abuse will have particular emotional needs in relation to their experience.

The post holder will be expected to provide a flexible range of prevention services incorporating risk reduction for children and young people, parents and professionals working with CYP. The post-holder will support children and young people both within schools and a range of community-based settings.

The contract is for 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance, with an extension possible, subject to funding

The post holder will be responsible for the development of Cancern North, a new VCSE Network in the North East and North Cumbria. To work in partnership with public sector organisations in health (primary and secondary), social support,  third sector agencies and community groups to innovate with new communications and systems for the benefit of all involved with cancer care and support. To be a remote worker, working from home using work mobile telephone and laptop. To be able to attend face to face meetings across the whole geographical area.

We are looking for someone with experience of working with a wide range of VCSE organisations. You will be someone with excellent stakeholder engagement skills who can grow relationships with a wide range of key partners and is passionate about personalised health care.

This is a new position, and we need someone who will enjoy the challenge of shaping Cancern North for the future. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, proactive, flexible, and passionate with a listening and professional approach.

We are seeking a Bridge Worker Lead, with successful and relevant experience of supporting the operational delivery of an Employability Project, to work closely with the CEO and Partnership and Performance Manager, driving performance to agreed targets and quality standards, ensuring underperformance is reported accurately and efficiently.  The successful candidate will co-ordinate processes for referral within agreed timescales, reporting to CEO and Partnership and Performance Manager on regular non-compliance and advising on improvements.

Newsham and New Delaval Youth Forum, a youth charity that has been established since 2011 and has been providing youth intervention activities through centre based and detached sessions, are looking to employ an experienced Senior Youth Worker.

The role of the worker will consist of being responsible for all aspects relating to delivery, as well as managing the administration and fundraising of the organisation.

  • Experience of working with young people in either a detached or centre based provision
  • Completed level 3 and above, youth work qualification
  • Experience of managing a small team of workers
  • Experience of submitting funding applications and managing the funding strategy and administration of the organisation.
  • Ability to work flexibly and manage time effectively.

As a Cygnus Trustee you will attend board meetings every 6 - 8 weeks (currently online but may require in person in Northumberland in the future) to discuss progress against plans, consider outlook, and support the Team - ensuring that Cygnus delivers the strongest possible service to those who need us most.
